Season 2020 will begin in the first weekend of May with the GIANTS taking on the Adelaide Thunderbirds at Priceline Stadium in Adelaide.
GIANTS fans will get their first taste of Sydney’s newest netball venue when the Melbourne Vixens come to town in round three for the GIANTS’ first game at Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney Olympic Park.
The GIANTS will once again take a game to Canberra in 2020, with the GIANTS hosting the Queensland Firebirds at AIS Arena during the Indigenous Round on Saturday, May 30.
With the introduction of the league’s first ever split round, fans will enjoy 18 weeks of competition (including finals) and teams will enjoy a mid-season bye with round eight’s usual four matches split over two weekends in June.
Members and fans will get to experience a total of six GIANTS matches at the new Ken Rosewall Arena (formerly just a tennis centre), plus an additional Sydney Derby, hosted by the NSW Swifts.
The six Sydney GIANTS home matches will feature two Saturday night fixtures, three Sunday games and just one Saturday afternoon game.
As in previous seasons, two matches per round will be broadcast live on Nine’s main channel during family-friendly timeslots and two matches will be exclusive to Telstra TV, with all four matches available on the Netball Live Official App, both live and on demand.
All eight Suncorp Super Netball clubs will continue to play each other once at home, and once away.
GIANTS Netball memberships are currently open for renewal, with sale to the general public going live on December 12. Tickets for individual matches will go on sale in early March.
