Netball NSW can confirm that both the GIANTS and the Swifts are tonight being flown from Brisbane to Melbourne.
The relocation is part of an effort by Suncorp Super Netball to move teams to the Victorian capital to continue the 2021 competition in the immediate future.
Both Netball NSW-owned clubs will work with the league and fellow Super Netball franchises in the coming days to determine the best way forward for the competition as it navigates the disruption caused by COVID-19 outbreaks in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.
A further statement will be provided tomorrow. At this time the well-being of our athletes and staff is our primary concern.
