Widely regarded as one of the league’s premier defenders, Jamaican international
Jodi-Ann Ward continues to be a cornerstone of the GIANTS’ defensive end. After
joining the club ahead of the 2024 season following her time at Collingwood, Ward
has brought experience, versatility and intensity to the defensive line up. A member
of the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball Team of the Year, the 178cm defender is most at
home in goal defence but is equally effective at wing defence and goal keeper.
Renowned for her aggressive, attacking style, Ward covers the court with speed and
purpose, consistently applying pressure and winning crucial ball in all areas of
defence. Ward is currently recovering from an ACL injury and remains focused on
her rehabilitation as she works towards a return to the court.
