The GIANTS will continue to ramp up their pre-season preparations, as they head north for a pair of practice matches.
Off the back of a successful trip to the Riverina last month, the GIANTS will now test themselves against two more Suncorp Super Netball sides across the weekend.
The first match of a double-header on Friday evening, the new-look GIANTS side will take on the new-look Mavericks at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, as the interstate match-up plays as the curtain raiser to the Suncorp Spirit Cup.
Nerida Stewart’s side will then head further North, to take on the Sunshine Coast Lightning on Sunday at midday.
The weekend’s matches will see the reintroduction of Sophie Dwyer into the line-up, with the star shooter returning to the orange and charcoal line-up following her Diamonds duties.
This year’s versatile midcourt will continue to test their combinations, while the defensive unit of Erin O’Brien, Jane Watson and Tilly McDonell will continue to refine their partnerships.
