Nissan Net Points are Super Netball’s overarching player metric - they’re a stats-based scoring system, run by Champion Data.
Every time someone scores a goal, blocks a pass, gets a defensive rebound (and so on), they get points. The bigger the impact, the bigger the points. If players make mistakes or cause turnovers, they lose points. At the end of the game, each player receives an individual Nissan Net Points score, which represents their contribution to the match.
Austin finished the 14-round season with 720.5 Nissan Net Points, with an average of 51.5 a game.
The versatile 23-year-old was named in three Nissan Net Points Team of the Rounds, two in the wing attack position (rounds one and seven) and one in the goal attack position (round 6).
Parmenter had a total of 490 Nissan Net Points for her 13 matches for the season, with an average of 37.7 per game.
The 2019 Rebel Rising Star was named in four Nissan Net Points Team of the Rounds throughout the 2020 season.
Jamie-Lee Price tallied the most amount of Nissan Net Points for any GIANT with 1017.5 points and ranked fifth across the whole the league.
Austin ranked second for the GIANTS, followed by Jo Harten (662), Sam Poolman (605.5) and Maddie Hay (548) rounding out the top five.
