The GIANTS will begin their 2026 Suncorp Super Netball campaign on the road next March, with confirmation on Thursday morning confirming they'll travel to Bendigo, as regional Victoria hosts the season's opening blockbuster against the Melbourne Mavericks.
The round one clash is locked in for Saturday, 14 March at Bendigo’s Red Energy Arena, with the first centre pass of the new season set for 5pm AEDT — and with a new-look GIANTS ready to make an immediate statement.
Delivered in partnership with Visit Victoria, the event forms part of the League’s push to take elite netball to regional communities, giving fans outside the major cities the chance to witness the world’s best competition up close.
The 2026 season marks a significant milestone as Suncorp Super Netball celebrates its tenth anniversary, launching earlier than usual and promising more intensity than ever.
This landmark opener will also carry extra intrigue, as former GIANT and 2025 Liz Ellis Diamond winner Jamie-Lee Price lines up against her former side.
Fans in Bendigo will get the first look at both squads’ new combinations, with the GIANTS eager to showcase the depth, athleticism and trademark grit that will fuel their 2026 campaign.
Suncorp Super Netball CEO Stacey West said she was thrilled to launch the milestone season in regional Victoria and highlighted the importance of connecting elite netball with passionate communities.
"Bendigo has fast become a favourite destination for top-level netball, hosting the Origin Australian Diamonds twice in recent years and drawing huge crowds from across the region. Local, state and federal representatives echoed the significance of the event, noting the economic and community benefits generated by major sporting fixtures in regional hubs."
Comprehensive coverage of the 2026 Suncorp Super Netball season will again be provided by Fox Netball and SEN, with every match streamed live on Kayo Sports, Fox Sports and Binge.
