The GIANTS and FDC are excited to confirm the extension of their long-term partnership for 2023.
Both the GIANTS and FDC are passionate about empowering women to be their best.
For FDC it’s about supporting women starting out their careers as cadets, leading multi-million-dollar projects or returning to work after maternity leave.
For the GIANTS it’s about producing world-class athletes and providing the next generation of New South Wales talent with inspirational role models.
And collectively, it’s about playing their respective roles in ensuring women in construction and women in netball (and sport) continue to have a bright future in Australia.
The shared alignment and reciprocated ethos are what has enabled the two organisations to develop such a successful partnership, dating back to 2016, with FDC re-committing to the GIANTS as a Platinum Partner for the 2023 season.
“FDC has been with us since the very beginning and we’re grateful for their long-term and ongoing support,” said GIANTS Head Coach Julie Fitzgerald.
“Not only do they empower the fantastic role models and athletes within our team, but they also lead the way for providing women in the construction industry with greater opportunities.
“We resonate with their values and passion and are extremely proud to continue our partnership with FDC.”
Ben Cottle, Managing Director, FDC added:
“Just like FDC, GIANTS Netball are made up of a team of remarkable women who also happen to be world-class athletes,” Cottle said.
“Many are involved off the court in charity and community work for worthy causes such as mental health, Indigenous affairs, cancer research and supporting remote and regional Australia.
“They hold strong family values and are known for their inclusivity at every event, from training to community events and of course game day.
“We are look forward to working with GIANTS Netball throughout season 2023 and making an impact together both on and off the court.”
FDC are one of the foundation partners of the GIANTS, as the GIANTS and the Suncorp Super Netball competition enter their seventh season.
The GIANTS begin their 2023 season on Sunday, March 19 on the Sunshine Coast before returning home to Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney Olympic Park in round two on Sunday, March 26.
