The tall, agile shooter has signed on as a replacement player for Monika Falkner who ruptured her ACL in August this year.
Marshall has been involved with the GIANTS since 2018 learning from the likes of Susan Pettitt, Jo Harten and most recently Caitlin Bassett.
She was called into the 2019 Round 11 squad for the GIANTS match against the Firebirds but unfortunately didn’t take the court.
GIANTS Netball Head Coach Julie Fitzgerald, who coached the Magic from 2012 to 2016, said it’s with mixed emotions that she sees Marshall leave.
“It will be sad not to have Georgia around the club next year, but I think it’s a fantastic opportunity for her to further develop her netball and get a taste of that next level.”
Magic Head Coach Amigene Metcalfe is delighted to get the signature of another dynamic young shooter and Fitzgerald’s positivity in recommending the 23-year old held great weight in the decision to put out the offer.
“To have this assurance from someone who knows the Magic ethos, values and culture was a major tick,” said Metcalfe.
GIANTS Netball wish Marshall all the best on her move to New Zealand and nothing but success in her netball career.
