The GIANTS have made a major announcement regarding their 2024 team list, with the re-signing of GIA the Mascot.
The signing comes on the eve of the club’s pre-season trip to Wagga Wagga and Griffith, with GIA set to a be popular addition to the team set to travel to the Riverina region this weekend.
The fan favourite is one of four remaining inaugural members from the 2017 team, alongside four-time club MVP Jo Harten MBE, Australian Diamond Jamie-Lee Price and supercoach, Julie Fitzgerald AM.
The popular team member is known for her high energy and team-first approached and is set to take her game to the next level in 2024.

She’s redefined her athletic appearance, having worked hard alongside Price in the gym. She’s drawn inspiration from Chelsea Pitman’s lively ‘pink’ hair to don a vibrant ‘orange’ hairstyle and she’s learnt the power of the brow game to rock a new shape.
GIANTS head coach Julie Fitzgerald said she couldn’t be happier to secure GIA’s signature.
“We are thrilled to announce the contract extension of GIA, a testament to the invaluable role she plays in connecting with our fans and fostering team spirit,” Fitzgerald said.
“She’s an integral part of our club and game day experience and we are excited to continue on our journey together.
“GIA has worked extremely hard in the off-season to secure her contract extension and GIANTS fans may struggle to recognise her after an off-season transformation.
“She further enhances the versatility on our list and I look forward to seeing her play her role for the team for seasons to come.”
The popular member of the team has signed a multi-year contract, with the club not revealing the full terms of the contract extension.
