With just over two weeks to go until the first whistle blows at the 2022 National Netball Championships in Hobart, Netball NSW is delighted to announce the Leadership Groups for the NSW 19U and 17U Teams.
GIANTS Academy athlete Monika 'Otai will lead the NSW 17U Team and GIANTS Training Partner Charli Fidler will be one of two vice-captains to the 19U side.
'Otai will be supported by Grace Whyte and Eugenie Little, while Fidler will work alongside Sophie Fawns with captain Audrey Little.
"Throughout the campaign, 17U Head Coach Amber Cross and 19U Head Coach Jen Wright have been impressed with the commitment to growth and buy in to the Waratah culture of every team member," Margaret Hamley, General Manager of Performance & Pathways at Netball NSW, said.
"At last weekend’s session the Netball NSW State Teams Leadership Team was announced.
"Each of these athletes have confidently displayed their abilities to be themselves as leaders and work to their strengths and, much as everyone is a leader when they pull on the Waratah dress, it is an enormous honour to be named in the Leadership Team.
"Netball NSW congratulates and wishes them the best of luck."
