The GIANTS are delighted to confirm that Matisse Letherbarrow has re-signed for the 2026 Suncorp Super Netball season.
A proud product of the NNSW pathway, the sharp-shooter has been part of the club’s roster since 2022, steadily developing her craft and earning her place as a key figure in the GIANTS’ prolific shooting circle.
After years learning under veteran Jo Harten, Letherbarrow came into her own during the 2025 season, stepping up as a consistent attacking option and showcasing her long-range accuracy.
A standout year for the 23-year-old, Letherbarrow’s potential/impact was highlighted by a second-place ranking in the league for Super Netball shots – proof that her composure under pressure is a pivotal strength to her game.
With greater court time and confidence, Letherbarrow proved she could not only match it with the league’s best but also shift momentum in high-pressure moments. Her ability to land Super Shots with consistency made her one of the GIANTS’ most valuable assets throughout the 2025 campaign.
“I’m so excited to be locked in for another season with the GIANTS,” Letherbarrow said.
“This club has been home for me since the beginning of my professional journey, and I can’t wait to continue my journey here with this club.
“I’ve learnt so much over the past few years, especially training alongside someone like Joey [Harten], and I feel ready to take that next step and hopefully build on some more consistent court time.
“We are building a really driven group and I’m looking forward to playing my part and pushing for something special in 2026.”
Letherbarrow joins Amy Sligar and Hope White to re-sign following the end of the 2025 season, joining already contracted players Sophie Dwyer, Jodi-Ann Ward and Erin O’Brien.
