What it means for the GIANTS: The GIANTS come off a convincing win against the Adelaide Thunderbirds in round 12 and require another win this weekend to be any chance of cracking the top four. The GIANTS currently sit in fifth position on 22 points, behind the NSW Swifts on 28 points.
Where’s the opposition at? The West Coast Fever carry impressive form at the back end of the season – winning their last six matches straight. They currently sit in third position, with a win against the GIANTS this weekend securing them a spot in the top four.
In the spotlight: Jhaniele Fowler continues to be pivotal in the Fever’s success. Last round Fowler broke the record for the most goals scored in a game, scoring 70 of the Fever’s 80 goals in their 10-goal win over the Swifts.
Interesting stat: The round 13 match between the GIANTS and the Fever will be the first-ever Suncorp Super Netball match to be played in Cairns.
