Where and when: Nissan Arena, Saturday September 26, 3:00pm AEST
Last time they met: The GIANTS and the Swifts last met all the way back in round one. The two teams could hardly be split in the opening and closing quarters; with the second and third quarters where both teams had the opportunity to cause damage. The GIANTS won the second term by five to hold the lead at the main break, but it was the Swifts’ dominance (21-13) in the third that proved the difference at the final whistle.

What it means for the GIANTS: The GIANTS cannot earn a spot in the 2020 finals series, but will enter the game with the same motivation and purpose to finish the season with a win. The GIANTS currently sit in fifth place, but if they lose to the Swifts and the Firebirds defeat the Magpies, they could finish the season in sixth.
Where’s the opposition at? The Swifts broke their three-game losing streak last round with a three-goal win over the Adelaide Thunderbirds. Whilst the reigning premiers have secured a berth in the finals series, a win would give them every chance to finish third or even second dependent on other results.
In the spotlight: The battle of the two teams is always a great rivalry for any New South Wales netball fan to sit down and watch.
Interesting stat: If the GIANTS win this match the Carol Sykes Memorial Trophy will be four apiece, if not the Swifts will retain the trophy with a 5-3 history over the GIANTS.
