Last Time they Met: The two teams last met back in round three with the win taken from the GIANTS in the final five minutes of the game. The GIANTS travelled to John Cain Arena in search for redemption following the heartbreaking 2019 preliminary final loss. The team in orange were in control for the majority of the match but in the final five minute of the final quarter - a time in which they normally dominate - they were unable to add to the scoreboard. Jamie-Lee Price polled the highest Nissan Net Points across both teams, with Sophie Dwyer showing her long-range capabilities sinking six Super Shots.
What it means for the GIANTS: After a disappointing 2023 season the GIANTS are looking to finish their season on a high with a victory over Victorian rivals Melbourne Vixens. They'll celebrate the career of April Brandley and last week's 150 game milestone of Jamie-Lee Price.
Where’s the opposition at: The Vixens have confirmed their spot in the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball finals series but will be playing to lock in their top four position and cement their form heading into the pointy end of the season.
The Name: April Brandley - one of Australia's premier defenders will play her final game this weekend, following Wednesday's announcement that this year will be last after 13 impressive seasons.
The Number: 50 - if Tilly McDonell takes the court this weekend, she will play her 50th National League match. McDonell earnt her first Super Netball contract in 2019 and has emerged as one of the league's most exciting defenders.
