TV and online: Channel 9, Netball Live App + Telstra TV
What it means for the GIANTS: The GIANTS secured their second win of the season in round seven and will be determined to continue that winning momentum. Every game from here on in will be crucial in their bid to return to the finals series.
Where’s the opposition at? The Magpies currently sit 8th on the ladder with just the one win. Like the GIANTS a few games ago, the Magpies will be keen to get their season back on track and add a few more wins on the board. The Pies’ Molly Jovic and Nyah Allen were both unavailable last game, with tests in the next 24 hours to determine their availability.
In the spotlight: Fans will be eager to see what line up coach Julie Fitzgerald backs to start this round eight match. The past two games she has backed her moving circle with Kiera Austin and Jo Harten, but the combination change in the second quarter bringing Caitlin Bassett on in shooter and moving Austin out to wing attack proved to be a pivotal to the GIANTS claiming their second win.
Interesting Stat: The GIANTS have only lost to the Magpies once since the two teams were introduced into the Suncorp Super Netball League.
