Back by popular demand, the team in orange is headed to Orange as part of the next event in their pre-season calendar.
The GIANTS will take on the Adelaide Thunderbirds in two pre-season matches, one on Friday night at 7pm and again on Saturday night at 6pm.
They will also spend the morning in the community, providing a free clinic to netball participants within the region.
The GIANTS come off a pre-season win against the Swifts last week, while the Thunderbirds had two narrows defeats against the Melbourne Vixens in Traralgon last weekend.
The GIANTS will be without April Brandley (rested) and Maddie Hay (health and safety protocols), while Training Partners Ang Frketic, Jemma Donoghue, Clare Iongi and Eliza Burton will get a taste of Super Netball action.
The Thunderbirds will travel with new signing Tippah Dwan as well as exciting defender Shamera Sterling.
GIANTS Netball Head Coach Julie Fitzgerald said the team are excited to be returning to Orange.
“We had a fantastic time in Orange last year and we can’t wait to get back there and be amongst the community again,” she said.
“We had a great turn out at the match last year and look forward to seeing a packed out stadium for both games as we take on the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
“Getting out into the community is something we’ve missed over the past two years and something we truly value as a club, so to be able to return to Orange - an area that has been so welcoming and energetic previously - is something we’re definitely looking forward to.
“On court this weekend provides us with another opportunity to fine tune our craft and combinations.”
Tickets to the two matches at Sir Neville Howse, PCYC Orange, are still available and range from $15-$25. CLICK HERE to purchase.
The match will not be live streamed, but you can follow along for score updates on the GIANTS Netball social media accounts.
