GIANTS Netball is delighted to announce PIMCO as a major partner of the club. PIMCO is a global leader in active fixed income investing and one of Australia’s largest bond managers.
The announcement of the three-year partnership comes on the eve of the much-anticipated Derby against the Swifts and it’s the first time the global investment management firm has been involved in Netball.
PIMCO provides investment solutions for many of Australia’s largest superannuation funds, institutions, financial advisers and individual investors.
Its logo will appear on the back of the dress of the top-of-the-table GIANTS from this Sunday when the Derby is held at Ken Rosewell Arena at Sydney Olympic Park.
Netball New South Wales Chief Executive Tain Drinkwater has welcomed PIMCO.
“This is a significant announcement for GIANTS Netball and the entire Netball community,” said Ms Drinkwater.
“To have a respected global organisation like PIMCO joining the GIANTS speaks to the exciting phase netball is in.
“We have some of the world’s best female athletes competing weekly in the Suncorp Super Netball competition and the 2021 season has seen the sport go to a new level.
“GIANTS Netball has had a terrific start to the season and there’s no doubt that this Sunday’s Derby will be a brilliant spectacle in front of a big crowd at our new home at Ken Roswell Arena.
