The GIANTS are primed for the perfect weekend among a proud and passionate netball community, with the team set to travel to the New South Wales’ Riverina Region.
The three-day trip - featuring clinics, school visits, community appearances and exhibition matches – will mark the first time the club has visited the region.
Headlining the weekend will be two matches against Suncorp Super Netball’s newest side, the Melbourne Mavericks, with the matches in Wagga Wagga and Griffith selling out in record time.
Members of the Orange Army who were lucky enough to score tickets will be some of the first fans to see the new-look GIANTS side in action this pre-season.
The GIANTS have added three new faces for 2024, with this weekend the first opportunity to see former Magpie Jodi-Ann Ward, kiwi Sam Winders and GIANTS Academy product Erin O’Brien don their new and permanent colours.
All three impressed in last week’s closed match against the Queensland Firebirds and will be looking to continue to build on their on-court connections with the existing GIANTS’ line up.
The GIANTS will travel to the Riverina with a full-strength list as well as training partners Charli Fidler and Kelly Singleton.
Alongside the on-court action, members of the Wagga Wagga and Griffith community will have an array of opportunities to interact with the team and coaches (see schedule below).
