Rising midcourter Hope White has signed a new one-year deal with the club following an impressive debut season in Suncorp Super Netball.
Initially brought in as a training partner for the 2025 season, White was quickly elevated to the contracted list as a permanent replacement for former Silver Fern Gina Crampton - seizing her opportunity to establish herself as a star of the future.
A product of the Netball New South Wales pathway and a GIANTS Netball Academy graduate, White has climbed the ranks at remarkable speed over the past year, establishing herself as one of the most promising young talents in Australian netball.
Just 12 months ago, the now 18-year-old was competing in Netball NSW’s Premier League for Central Coast Heart before her rapid rise saw her join the GIANTS as a training partner and then a contracted player.
Despite 2025 being her first season in a professional environment, White didn’t take long to impress, with her composure, speed, and game instincts making her one of the most exciting young prospects in the league.
White made her Super Netball debut in round one against the Queensland Firebirds at Ken Rosewall Arena, immediately showcasing the vision and high-energy play that became hallmarks of her season.
Further cementing her status as a rising star, White was recently selected in the Australian 21/U squad.
The club’s decision to reward White with a new contract marks a significant milestone in her young career and caps off a standout 18 months of development.
“Honestly, signing on again feels unreal,” said the livewire teenager.
“I’m just super keen to keep learning, keep getting better and keep making the most of any opportunities that come my way.
“Looking back, it’s pretty crazy how things unfolded this season, but I'm just grateful for the opportunity and the trust Jules and the GIANTS put in me and I’m keen to reward them.
“I love this club and I love these girls and I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings.”
