Crampton Shares Pregnancy News

In an exciting personal milestone, Gina Crampton has announced that she is expecting her first child later this year.
The former Silver Fern was set to be a formidable inclusion to the GIANTS’ contracted list this season after making her club debut as a training partner in 2024.
Prior to joining the GIANTS, the 33-year-old had a successful career in the ANZ Premiership in New Zealand, playing over 150 games with Southern Steel and Stars Netball.
While Crampton will step away from her on court responsibilities with the club in 2025, she will remain in Sydney and as a valued member of the team off court and among the netball community.
GIANTS Netball head coach Julie Fitzgerald congratulated Crampton and her partner on the exciting announcement.
“On behalf of everyone at the GIANTS I firstly want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Gina on her pregnancy announcement,” Fitzgerald said.
“We are so excited for her and her partner Fa’asiu as they prepare for this next chapter.
“While we will certainly miss her energy, leadership and impact on the court during the 2025 season, we know she will bring the same strength and determination to motherhood.
“We know that she’ll be cheering us on from the sidelines, and we’ll be doing the same for her as she embarks on this incredible journey."
Crampton expressed her gratitude to the club and had a message for members and fans:
“It’s such a bittersweet announcement for me – I'm obviously really excited to start a family with my partner but I was really looking forward to representing the GIANTS this season and playing in the Suncorp Super Netball competition,” she said.
“It’s been a whirlwind couple of months coming to terms with it all but I am excited for this new chapter and to finally be able to share it with you all.
“I look forward to being the girls’ biggest supporter this season and can’t wait to see what this team achieves this season.”
The GIANTS will make an announcement on Crampton’s replacement in the coming weeks.
