The Sydney Sirens are thrilled to announce the signing of experienced midcourter, Molly Jovic, for the 2027 Super Netball season.
A proven leader and one of the competition's most reliable and versatile midcourters, Jovic arrives in Sydney after three seasons with the Melbourne Mavericks, where she was a foundation player, co-vice-captain and the Mavs' 2025 Club Champion.
The signing marks another significant milestone in Jovic's career, with the 30-year-old becoming an inaugural Siren after playing a key role in helping establish the culture and identity of the Mavs during their formative years.
Jovic brings 77 games of Super Netball experience to the Sirens, having debuted with the Collingwood Magpies in 2020 before earning a full-time contract and spending four seasons with the club. Following Collingwood's departure from the competition, she became Maverick #6 and helped guide the Mavs through its first three seasons, emerging as one of the club's most influential leaders both on and off the court. Her outstanding 2025 campaign saw her crowned the Mavs' Club Champion after producing arguably the best season of her career, while she also served as co-vice-captain in both 2025 and 2026.
For Jovic, the opportunity to join the Sirens comes at an exciting time both personally and professionally as she, partner Cameron and son Billy prepare for their next chapter in Sydney.
"This is such an exciting opportunity for our family, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the Sydney Sirens," Jovic said.
"The last couple of years have taught me that life doesn't always unfold exactly how you expect it to, but sometimes the opportunities that come your way end up being even better than you could have imagined.
"One thing I knew for certain was that I still had a lot more netball left in me, so when the chance to be part of this new era for the Sirens came along, it was something I was incredibly excited about.
"Having been part of an inaugural team before, I know how special those early years can be. You develop a unique bond as a playing group and you have the opportunity to help shape the culture, standards and identity of the club.
"What's really exciting about the Sirens is that while we're building something new, we're also carrying forward the proud legacy that already exists. There's a strong foundation to work from and I can't wait to play my role in what comes next."
Sydney Sirens Head Coach, Nerida Stewart, said Jovic's leadership, professionalism and experience made her an invaluable addition to the club's inaugural playing group.
"Molly is exactly the type of person you want helping set the tone in a new environment," Stewart said.
"She's an experienced Super Netball player, an outstanding leader and someone who understands what it takes to build strong connections and standards within a playing group.
"Her rise over the past few seasons has been impressive. To see her recognised as Club Champion in 2025 speaks to both her consistency and the impact she has on those around her.
"Molly brings a wealth of experience from both Collingwood and the Mavs, but just as importantly she brings a genuine enthusiasm for what we're creating here at the Sirens.

Jovic joins Sophie Dwyer and Amy Sligar in committing to the Sirens ahead of the 2027 Super Netball season.
