The GIANTS are delighted to announce that young gun Hope White has been signed as a replacement player for the 2025 Suncorp Super Netball season.
A GIANTS Academy product who was originally elevated to a GIANTS training partner position ahead of the upcoming season, White’s whirlwind few months have taken another turn after a further promotion has now seen her become a contracted GIANT for the 2025 Suncorp Super Netball season.
White’s elevation to the contracted list comes in place of outgoing midcourter Gina Crampton who will miss the upcoming 2025 season after the news that she’s expecting her first child later this year.
Hailing from the Newcastle Netball Association, White is a dynamic wing attack who has continued to impress in her time in the GIANTS Academy and through her representative play for both NSW and Australia.
White’s exciting new position comes following a stellar 2024 campaign which saw the star teenager feature in the 21/U Australia squad for its tour of Fiji alongside GIANTS training partner Monika ‘Otai.
White’s brilliant 2024 campaign also saw her represent the NSW U19s side where she was named the grand final MVP in the national championship's gold medal match.
Hope’s enormous potential in the sport was also recognised last year when she was selected as a recipient of the 2024 Commonwealth Games New South Wales Athlete Grant Program.
GIANTS head coach Julie Fitzgerald said White was an exciting addition to her team.
"We're thrilled to welcome Hope into the ten for the upcoming season,” she said.
“The decision to bring Hope in as a permanent member of the squad was an easy one. She’s proven herself in every opportunity she’s had, and we know she’ll continue to excel as part of the team.
“She’s an exciting young player full of potential and I'm confident she’ll make a big impact as she continues to develop in our program full time.”
White and the entire GIANTS squad continue their pre-season preparations and will next travel to the Riverina Region to take on the Melbourne Vixens.
