The GIANTS family would like to congratulate Jo Harten on reaching 100 Test caps in this week’s Netball World Cup.
Harten, who’s into her third season at the GIANTS, has been a mainstay for the England Roses in recent years and was part of their victorious Commonwealth Games team in 2018.
It’s expected that Harten will bring up the milestone against Uganda in England’s opening game of the tournament in the early hours of Saturday morning (Australian EST).
Should the 30-year old not take the court against the African nation, she’ll have to wait less than 24-hours before the Roses play their UK neighbor Scotland.
GIANTS Netball coach Julie Fitzgerald has praised Harten for reaching the milestone.
“Jo has been an integral part of setting the foundations of our club and I’m so proud to see her reach this milestone.
“Not many players reach this milestone at an International level and it just shows what a competitor Jo is to consistently front up for so many years.
“She’s been quite open in saying that winning gold at the Commonwealth Games last year felt like a weight of her shoulders and there’s no doubt she’s looking forward to going into this tournament as favourites on their home turf.”
