After a busy 2019 netball calendar, Jamie-Lee Price is ready for her fourth season as a GIANT.
With the departure of veteran Kim Green at the conclusion of 2019, Price will be required to use her near 100-game experience to lead a younger midcourt set-up.
Previously more of WD, Price took on a new role in 2019, taking over the centre bib from English Rose Serena Guthrie who retired at the end of 2018.
Head Coach Julie Fitzgerald said the new role provided her the opportunity to display both her attacking and defensive skills.
“With a season’s experience behind her, Jamie-Lee will enter 2020 with a great deal more confidence,” Fitzgerald said.
Known to be strong, fast and have an incredible vertical leap, Price is able to wear down even the best of opponents and win her share of the ball.
Working hard through the extended pre-season, the 24-year-old is ready to lift her game up another level this season.
“Always looking for ways to develop, Jamie-Lee will continue to grow throughout the year and provide a valuable link through the court,” said Fitzgerald.
“Her style of play is always entertaining to watch and fans should expect another strong season from Jamie-Lee.”
The season is not far away with the GIANTS set to take on the NSW Swifts at Nissan Arena in Brisbane in round one on Sunday 2nd of August.
