The Sydney Sirens are pleased to confirm dynamic shooter Matisse Letherbarrow has re-signed with the club on a one-year deal ahead of the 2027 Super Netball season.
A product of the Netball NSW pathway, Letherbarrow has been a member of the club's full-time roster since 2022 and will continue to play an important role in the Sirens' attack end as the club enters a new era.
One of the competition's most exciting impact shooters, Letherbarrow has built a reputation as a dangerous long-range threat. Renowned for her ability to sink the super shot, the 24-year-old once again ranked among the league's leading super shot scorers, finishing second in the competition for the second consecutive season.
Across six seasons in the Super Netball environment, Letherbarrow has become a fan favourite through her energy, competitiveness and attacking flair. Having spent her entire Super Netball career with the club, the 24-year-old's re-signing ensures valuable continuity and experience at the club.
With fellow re-signee Sophie Dwyer and international recruit Grace Nweke also set to feature in the shooting circle, the Sirens boast an exciting mix of firepower heading into 2027.
"I'm incredibly excited to be part of the Sydney Sirens and continue my journey with this club," Letherbarrow said.
"Having been part of the program for so many years, the GIANTS hold a really special place in my heart. It feels like I've grown up alongside our members and fans, and I'm so grateful for the support they've shown me throughout that time.
"As we transition to the Sirens, I'm proud to help carry the club's legacy forward while embracing everything that comes with this new chapter."
Sydney Sirens Head Coach Nerida Stewart said Letherbarrow's re-signing would provide the club with a proven attacking threat.
"Matisse has become a significant part of our attacking unit and we're delighted she'll remain with the Sydney Sirens," Stewart said.
"Alongside Sophie and Grace, she forms part of a really exciting shooting combination for us.
"Her long-range shooting ability is among the best in the league and she's continually looking for ways to evolve her game. We've seen her grow in confidence and expand her impact each season, and we're excited to see that continue as we move into the Sirens era."
Letherbarrow joins Amy Sligar, Sophie Dwyer, Molly Jovic, Grace Nweke, Jodi-Ann Ward and Erin O’Brien in committing to the Sirens ahead of the 2027 Super Netball season.
